Sipcam UK are delighted to confirm Adam Nears as the new General Manager of the business, starting his new role on 15th July 2024. Adam is an experienced Commercial Manager with a track record of exceeding sales targets in the competitive UK and Ireland Crop Protection and Seed Markets. With a demonstrated ability to build long term customer relationships alongside the Company strategic goals.
Adam began his Agronomy career in 2002 with NIAB as a trial’s agronomist. In 2007, Adam joined Bayer Crop Science, progressing through various technical and commercial roles for UK and Ireland. Where he gained experience in Product development, Commercial and Management roles. In this time, Adam also gained strong people leadership experience with responsibility for the Bayer seed engineering team and the Dekalb seed team. Most recently Adam Joined Certis Belchim to lead their seed treatment portfolio including Latitude and development projects that will come to the market in the next few years.
Adam is enthusiastic to join and lead the Sipcam UK team following engaging discussions with senior company leaders. As a privately owned company, Sipcam Oxon shows an important mix of longer-term ambition alongside the need to satisfy customers today. The UK team has warmly welcomed Adam and he looks forward positive future with Sipcam UK, building on the great work of his predecessor Rob King who retires after 37 years in the crop protection industry.
